This is the scene that greeted myself and Olly at 4.30am this morning!
We were woken by the most tremendous crash, bang, wallop!
For a full 5 minutes we were actually too scared to venture downstairs to see what had happened!
At first we feared it was a window being put through.
So while we wait to see if it can be put back together, I've had to improvise with this little mirror......
Oddly enough the mirror did not break or crack......which was super lucky.
The back has come away, so all being well we should be able to mend it!
Thankfully china doggy and green rabbit survived their horrendous
accident!
Look out for my give away coming soon!
I've won two lately....think it's my turn to host one!
I'm thinking a couple of Cath Kidston sewing goodies!
Love Melxx

Ooooo nooooo! Thought it was the printers' tray on seeing the title!
How good that nothing was damaged. Phew! But scary tho'...you were very brave. I think I'd've just stayed in bed...under the covers!

I bet that was a bit frightening, sometimes our loft door falls down and almost gives us heart attacks.
Last week I went to take a jug from a shelf, bang, crash, wallop -the shelf came away from the wall and smash went several items (including my lovely red and white spotted Country Living jug). Fortunately nothing of sentimental value was damaged.

How lucky are you! Can't believe it was all in one piece.
Last time we had a bump in the night it was the bedroom ceiling falling down - luckily not above the bed!

Wow, that must have been very frightening for you both especially in the middle of the night, glad nothing was broken and you can mend the back of the mirror. Maybe you just need a bigger nail in the wall!! Lucey x

Oh no mel! Although lucky you that nothing broke. I put some rubbers in my printer trays today (I'll put a pic on my blog page soon) and I've sorted some out to be displayed in boxes - thanks to your suggestion x x

What a shock, it's amazing nothing was seriously damaged. I love your little dog, he is really sweet.

That must have been so scary!!! Glad the glass hadn't broken, and nothing else damaged.
In my old house, there was a crack in the ceiling. No problem, until we were woken at about 4am by the loud crash of a lump of plaster ceiling falling down!!! Good job it was at the other end of the room to where our bed was!!!

I hate it when there are scary noises in the night, expecially when you can't immediately find out what made them! How lucky the mirror survived (in more ways than seven!).
