Feeling Festive.

 Hello Everyone!
I wasn't feeling all that festive, until today!
Olly has had a couple of days off and as my cleaning job had been moved (again!) to tomorrow.......we decided to have a rare trip into town!
But before we get to the pictures......just a quick update to
say the work thing has been ok.  A little school I liked has asked for
me last week,  this week and has just booked me in for two days next week!
I'm very pleased!
Ok........on with the rest of the blog post.......!!!

We took a stroll along King Street.
We found a chap selling roasted chestnuts and as we both love em,  we had to buy a bag.......they were gooooooddd!

As you would expect,  I did pop into Cath kidston.....no interior photos allowed today!

The Christmas market was amazing!  So many fab things to buy and lovely food to try.......apart from the cheese stall.......normally I love smelly cheese....but today....it was not my friend!

I really enjoyed being out with Olly,  but he did keep getting some odd looks!
Why?
Well, until tomorrow he will be still sporting his Movember moustache.  I have to say,  I'll be glad to say goodbye to it....but glad he has raised money for the charity.

We were going to stay in town for a while longer but the rain came
and so we dashed into Marks and Sparks and
bought some buns to take home.
I love the M&S food hall at Christmas.......just looking at all the goodies makes my waist expand!

Oh look!
Why can I never go into CK without buying something?
Well, a nice tweet does us all good once in a while......
I loved the brooches when I saw them in her booklet......
also fell in love with these bobbles........navy blue stars.....
love navy blue.......I'm wearing them now!

Must fly.......
see you all soon!

Love Melxxxxx

Those brooches are lovely - especially the robin one.

Where's the pic of Olly's tash?? MrVV has grown a beard & tash this month - not for Movember but out of hating having to shave!! Kind of getting used to it now though so he's banned from shaving it off!

I've been trying to put off the dreaded Christmas trek round shops but having looked at your lovely photos I'm feeling a bit more inspired now.
Thanks!!

Hi Mel...
My old man is looking decidedly like a 70's cop with his newly grown tash. I must admit to rather liking the new hairy man in my life but alas on Thursday he will shave it off in morning assembly in front of the children at his school.
What a lovely Christmas market.. looks much more inviting than our local one here in Bath.

P.s I stupidly managed to delete your lovely comment on my blog. Sorry!

I found your blog ages ago and loved it and then there were no posts for a long time. I did think, 'Oo, I wonder what happened...'
I am glad you are back and it was good to hear your Mum is ok.
I live overseas so I love the Cath pics. The little doll in the window is cute and I so want all of it.
I always love your home pics, just so lovely.
My friend is doing Movember and he looks very funny.
I used to be a learning support assistant. It was rewarding but I found it hard sometimes. I also did cleaning. Sometimes I put ads up in well to do areas and did private cleaning that was quite well paid.
Anyway, hope all is ell. Better stop rambling now.

Super happy for you about the job in the nice school. And I love CK's new bird design this season - haven't got any yet, but might treat myself soon!
It's lovely to see the Xmas market in good old Manchester. Was that st Anne's square?

He He I was in there earlier on....Even though their 15% off isn't until tomorrow I couldn't come away empty handed could I ;) Lovely post Mel, those markets just go on forever don't they the smells coming from them are delish :)

PS There was one wallpaper there ( think is one of their digital ones ) and I want a sample, was it your blog I read that you could buy a sample for a fiver or have I imagined that...when I spoke to the girl she said they didn't give out samples of the digital wallpaper so got me all confused, lol doesn't take much ;) xxxx

Hi Mary,

The patchwork wallpaper is £5 per sample.....you have to phone them and pay for it that way, no P&P to pay and it comes in a cardboard tube!

Hope this helps....
